Those are links to the TEWD on door locks. If I am reading this correctly (which there's a HUGE chance I am not) I am seeing that there are two switches (interior) two key switches (exterior) and two solenoids (the actual actuators) and the control relay. I also see two more switches labeld 'door courtesy left and right' what are those? There is an 'unlock warning switch' as well on the far right

I also see two grounds. does anyone else see anything I missed?

the reason I am going through this so in depth into the way the lock system works is because mine is mal-functioning. Sometimes the button (interior) will lock/unlock the doors but sometimes not... its very random.

I installed a viper keyless entry system (YES, its installed correctly) and it will remotely lock and unlock the doors... sometimes. If I arm and disarm the factory alarm with the key then lock the doors with the remote the doors will lock. sometimes. Its a VERY random problem so I'm going to start checking everything listed on the diagram I just wanna make sure I've got everything.... I'm starting with the grounds, as we ALL know, bad grounds are responsible for their share of problems....

If anyone has any suggestions, please, lemme know.

The courtesy switches are for the dome lights and the key/headlight beeper.
The unlock warning switch (I believe) unlocks the doors if you lock the door from the inside with the door open with the key in the ignition. I may be wrong on that one.

That looks correct.

I would disassemble all of the switches and clean the contacts. If you flip the levers, and the solenoids click everytime, then you know it's in the switches. If the switches are making good contact, but the solenoids aren't clicking all the way, then there is something mechanical that needs fixing. Some older supras have stiff solenoids and locks, and the solenoid can't push past the friction, so you get a half-click, and then the door unlocks itself. Bent rods can also cause this. Make sure everything is mechanically sound behind the door panels before you go crazy with wiring.

I would agree that it is either a bad ground, or it is stiff components in the door itself. If the alarm always clicks the solenoids, but the doors don't lock, I'd bet on mechanical problems. I would also remove the factory theft deterrent system, It's as easy as unplugging it, and jumpering pin 5 to pin 13 to ground the starter relay.
