door locks

hey,

my drivers side door lock has been busted since i've owned the car so everytime i want to lock/unlock the car i have to do it from the passenger side. Well now that the car is at the bodyshop i think it's a good idea to get it replaced, but i want to use my CURRENT key. I don't want a different lock on the drivers side that requires a different key. Could i just go to Toyota and give them my VIN#??

No, Sam Gangie, you can't go to Toyota to get it keyed like the ignition.
They only sell the parts.

Talk to a couple (because some aren't to bright) of lock smiths about bringing in the door lock and having it keyed to your ignition key.:icon_bigg
