I bought two new trim pieces for my door locks, but they won't reach to lock. Is their an extension or something you can buy from toyota to make the tabs reach the holes on the inside? Thanks for any help you may offer.

If all else fails I can find some duct tape. Thanks wingman, if their is no other option then that is what I will do. Hopefully someone knows of another way. I was hoping that toyota sole some longer tabs for the trim pieces........lol

My guess is your door panels aren't quite sitting right or something. There is only 1 kind of clip for the bezels, and you've got them if you have the metal clips on there (which you should).

I have had my interior redone, so the leather may be different than the cloth that was on it. For whatever reason they won't snap into place and they seem to be lining up fine.

Push really really hard... my interior is bone stock and they were not the easiest thing to get in.

I used strips of fine wire to wrap around the prong on 1 side then routed it through the door panel and throught the other existing hole, pulled and tightened/wrapped it around the other prong! Fits like a glove! LOL:icon_bigg

If I can't get it to snap in, I'm going to use crazy glue. I don't feel comfortable punching my car. Thanks all the same though.;)

Yeah their on there. I tried to get them to clip, but they just don't reach. I'm guessing that the leather is just thicker than the stock fabric. I'm thinking that if crazyglue can hold that 80 pound man up off the ground then it will hold two half ounce bezels to my door trim. You younger people may not remember the commercial with the midget (little person) being glued to a metal Ibeam.................lol

doesnt "crazy glue" give out and break down after half a year? I'd go with epoxy just to be safe.

It may break down Mkiv, but I've already glued them on. If they come off then I will try some epoxy.........lol
