uhmmmm okay so i just have a simple question, and i want you to think about this a little dont just say yes or no.... and i don't really want to get into why im asking right now, okay sooooo will jb weld bond to brass? say filling a brass fitting with it, then putting 60 lbs pressure on it.. will it hold or get pushed out? if you put jb weld on steel you can usually just scrape it off. so what about brass?

Ive never had good experiences with JB weld. So I wouldnt trust it for anything on my car, especially engine wise.

maybe it will hold, but first, whatever surface you are filling it with, make sure it is rough and has surface for the jb weld to adhere too. You can take a rouch sand paper and go at it beefore filling with jB weld. The bonding will be stronger

jb weld SUCKS ASS. over the years, i have used it maybe 15 times, each time hoping i would get better results than the last. and each time, i followed all instructions on the package, prepped the surface properly and mixed/cured properly too.

each time it flakes off with light pressure from my fingernail. :3d_frown: jb weld is worthless, and the testimonies on the back are complete BullShit. im so glad i got an arc welder.

agreed, whatever your attaching it to it must have a plyable surface.

i used it befor worked great heat is the biggest thing when useing jab weld and a proper mix

but you can only se it on so many thigns

i just hate the stuff. maybe virginia's jb weld is different than alabama's.

if its a safety part...No Frigging way!
if its something that would make the car inoperable if it failed, No frigging way.
if it was on a part that I could live without for a day (say like a cruise control actuator) I say give it a shot.


however if your just dealing with brass why not get some plumbers solder and a propane torch and "fill it and drill it" ?
