i have jumped my car several times and it works everytime.today my battery was dead so i jumped the car on locked for the first time.and the car alarm system went off for the first time. so i took the car off lock and jumped it again for 5 minutes.and tried starting the car but it wont start.i think the factory alarm cut off the engine from starting am i right??.....

i just figured out how to put my car on lock so the electronics dont stay on and kill my battery.

P.S lock mode on the ignition key circle

The alarm disables the starter. So if the engine is still turning over but won't start, the problem isn't the alarm.

To reset the alarm use the key to lock the drivers door, wait a few minutes, and then unlock it.
