Hello everyone my name is Ahmad but everyone calls me Doat (Pronounced like Boat with a D), I am from Houston, TX and still live here and I used to have an 88 MK3 N/A targa top and I really missed that car. A friend of mine has a friend who is selling his 91 I think MK3 targa top turbo with 85-90K miles original motor and in damn near mint condition, just needs a front bumper replacement and has a small dent on the rear driver side panel that can probably be pulled. He is selling it for $3,000 and I really wish I had the money to get it, so I am trying to get a job asap so I can start saving up and get that bad boy. I have been really missing my MK3 and if I can get this one before he sells it I would be in heaven and will keep this car until I die, I would be buried with it or have my remains cremated and put into the fuel tank and let someone race it around the track with me burning again as fuel. 
Anyway I joined to do some research on this car and figure out what I would be getting myself into, my last MK3 overheated on the highway and the head cracked then a tow truck took it and that was the last time I saw her. If I were to get one today I would put on a metal head gasket, ARP bolts, and replaced the radiator for starters.
Sorry I went on for a bit there but I really would love to get that car. Anyway I look forward to asking questions and reading through the threads and pictures on this forum and getting to know some of you.
