Do I need this?

Well I'm replacing my stock intercooler and pipes. I took everything apart today but there was something that threw me off.
Next to the stock IC is this

I didn't follow the lines back as I have ADD and when I went to follow them I started ripping my IC pipes out and forgot.:nono:

So the noobish question would be what is the purpose of this mini side IC and do I need it? I'm assuming it can just go with the stock IC and cap off the lines, but don't want to risk it.

Oil cooler!

THAT is your oil cooler,yes you need it until you update it. And the one that is above it that crosses your radiator and overflow bottle is your power steering "cooler",its necessity is debateable.

Aha wow I'm quick. I knew the PS line/"cooler" but I can't believe I didn't think of oil cooler. I need some sleep. This is my first day off of work in 3 weeks so I had a bit of a long night, which turned into a late start on working on my car today. I'm just glad I was working on it and not driving, I clearly can't operate when tired.

good thing you asked cuz you would definatly NOT want to just cap off those lines and get rid of it. that would be bad for a turbo car.
