Do 89+ front speakers fit pre 89?

My speakers are blown and sound like crap. I have a pair of 89 speakers and was wondering if they would fit.

Oh cool. I was afraid they might have changed something that wouldn't allow it to work properly for my car with the 89 and up model speakers.
