Hey guys, my car is finally out of the shop after a rebuild, and I am really dissappointed.

This is what I have:
7mgte w/ MHG and ARP head bolts
HKS downpipe, hi-flow cat, 3" exhaust, HKS dragger muffler, hks fcon fuel computer, HKS Air Intake System HKS SSQ Blow Off Valve. Also during the rebuild I shaved the head a couple 1000ths of an inch. Ebay IC with hardpipes

And a stock 5 speed 3000gt beats me on the 1/4 mile? I glanced at the boost gauge and was only showing 4psi. i noticed since i got it out of the garage its not boosting as high as it used to. turbo has very slight side to side shaft play.

I figured with those mods on a boosted 5 sp mark 3, i should be smoking him.

any opinions?

No, Base model..

Hey I just read the thread on boost leaks, and there were some interesting points. Also, I found out today that there was a leak in one of the pipes around the ISC, which according to the thread would be a source for boost leak? I did not know this before i read the thread.

Also I do want to check the IC pipes.

What about the thread where they talked about the factory leaks in the throttle body (can't find it right now)? It got a little too technical for me there. Should I look into that?

there's something wrong man, I beat a base model stealth in my mk2.

Timing, or Boost leaks would be my guess.

Not to be an ass, but what are you doing drag runs for on a car just out of the shop after a rebuild? You should take some time and get the thing runnign right before you go beatin the crap out of it.

Obviously something is wrong if only getting 4psi. Take some time and figure it out before you beating on it again, if you want to keep it OUT of the shop... :)
