Sweeeet! So if I charge $50 for gas, I get $2.50 back, then comes the 18% interest, and now I am only paying $58.64? Awesome!

Am I missing something here?

Well, that's only if you choose not to pay it off. Interest doesn't accrue if you're not carrying a balance - that's what the 'grace period' is all about.

Not that I care about using my discover to save 5% - It just sounded like you were missing something.:icon_bigg

it's alright, but if you spend $100, you're only really getting back $5, so that's only 1 gallon of gas..

not really worth the hassel unless you like to completely fill up every time you go pump...

Time to get one.. But maybe I shouldn't.. I have a feeling bad things are going to happen for getting a CC at my age and lack of $$

Platinum Shell gas card: 5% back on ALL shell gas, anytime of the year. 1-2% everywhere else.

Who cares what the interest is. If you can't afford to pay shit off right away then dont buy it. Durr....
