I hear people say u have to lineup the engine to the trans.what exactly do you have to line up and how hard is it to do so.Something tells me i'd rather disconect the engine from the trans then put in a starter. Please share some of yalls experience.and is their a butt load of nuts and bolts to disconect.I would know how to do the rest, consisting with the engine mouts, engine harness, ect, ect. But if you own a garage and engine lift everything should be down hill for people who know how to change a headgasket.the rest should be a walk in the park.Plus i know it is time consuming.

It's been a while since I tore mine down, but I think you have to have the tranny bolted to the motor to put the starter on.

Do you have a 5 speed?

And yes you have to have the 2 together to put the starter in if that's what you are asking.
