I am finally finishing reassembling my GTE after many, many months of being apart, and I need some help remembering a small detail. I'm sure I've have several of these threads in the next month as I try to remember how things exactly work. But, first to the dipstick tube. Where exactly does the mount for the dipstick tube mount to? I tried searching, but couldn't find a definitive answer. A picture would deffinitely be a plus. Please let me know guys.

I am also in the same boat. My engine has been disasembled for a few months now so I know the feeling.
Im nowhere close to installing the dipstick yet but Im pretty sure the dip stick bracket mounts to the ct26 turbo or probably any bolt on for that matter.

I know it looks as if it has to mount on the turbo, but I'd like to make sure I put it in the right place, as that will help me make sure the depth of the tube into the boss in the block is right, to make sure my oil level is correct and it doesn't leak
Yes it mounts to the turbo with a small bolt. I advise replacing the o-ring on the end of the tube.
Already got a new oring, as well as a new tube, and a new stick. Does anyone have a pic of where it mounts on the turbo?

If it isn't too much trouble that would be great, I think I know where it bolts, but I want it right, I've spent too much on this thing to get something simple wrong.

Make sure the bolt you use isn't to long other wise you will bottom it out and it will be a bad start to a long bad day.

That helps a hell of a lot. I know exactly where it goes now. I will probably go with the shortest bolt I can and still get it to tighten. Thanks a lot.
