ok, after long amounts of time and effort with google and here im stumped.

i have recently got my greasy lil mits on a mbc. i was thinking about building one, but i got a pre assembled one. figgured it would be a nice addition to my engine bay.

so, on to the issue/questions:

1. i was told to split the hose from the front of the compressor and t the mbc into there. i did with lil diffrence(possiably not adjusted enough. dont wanna go to far at first. lil at a time.)

2. most mbc's i have seen have 2 hook ups, this one has only one? would it really matter? it has a small bleed hole in it. i figure thats how it helps control the boost by bleeding off pressure.

3. i have read that some people hook them up to the signal line from the bov and block off the nipple on the front of the turbo. would it change anything really? i would think that it might mess with the signal to the bov.

this mbc was removed from a 7m-gte. im just looking for a lil info to set my mind at ease. flame is ya must, but i am just looking for a lil insight as to hook it up better.

wish i did. ill try to explain it though.

vac fitting goes on one side and goes into a main body that has a knob on top. seems like its a needle valve inside not spring and ball.

from what i can figgure, the needle valve releases a lil pressure so that the wg dont see the right signal and allows for more boost. maybe im wrong though.

i would think that opening it up would raise the boost levels and closing it would lower it. or am i backwards here?

I don't see how it can work without a source of vacuum/boost reference (two ports) to control the actuator?

me either. i think that it is just venting a lil bit of the pressure. thats all i can think of. there is a small bleed hole on one side.

its a strange lil bugger i tell ya. never seen one like it before.

if it only has one hole, junk it. get one from dr. jonez. the pressure line from the turbo nipple to the wastegate actuator MUST be complete (albeit, with an MBC in the middle)

if either side (turbo nipple, or wastegate nipple) is disconnected, you'll overboost your motor in short order. this is because there won't be any pressure exchange between the wastegate and the pressure source (in this case, the turbo nipple)

both the turbo nipple and the wg actuator have a connection to each other. this strange mbc is t valved into the middle.

again, never seen one like it before. kinda strange, but hey, ill try anything once if it works.

keep in mind that it only takes one good overboost to destroy your moter. i want to see pics of this thing, or an MS paint drawing.
