Well i just got my motor in and was putting the finishing touches on it, and when i was putting in the oil dipstick tube it didnt fit. My last motor just had a hole in the block where the tube would fit in, this one(the new motor) has about a 2" section of bevelled tubing that comes out like the transmission and i cant get it out. Is there a different dipstick among the years or models that fit in this? I filled it up with 6 quarts but i would like a dipstick just to feel safe hehe..

dipsticks changed in like 90 or 91 didnt they? I dont know that the actual tubing and port for them changed considering its been the same block since 86 right?

My NA had the same Oil dipstick port & tube as my 91 turbo. You sure its a 7M :biglaugh:

The auto fluid dipstick has a "spring-type" of lever that need sto be pressed, as you try to remove the stick. It's on the driver's side.

The motor oil dipstick is next to the turbo and while the dipstick themselves may have changed, I think all years have the tube attached there at the turbo...
