Different sound

I was leaving work tonight and noticed that my turbo is making a different sound. I kinda sounds like the whine of a supercharger and still has the whistle of a turbo. The only thing that's different is the turbo timer that I put in yesterday. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and why?

Your turbo sounds like its having the death whine! Someone else chime in please with more experience, as I have only heard about this.

Check for shaft play.

yes... sounds like turbo is about to go out.

mine did that for a few days, then it started smoking.
