Different perspective -1G and 7M

Hi all,

I am based in the UK and part of the local Supra club http://www.forum.mkiiisupra.net/

I have two supra's...A white 3.0L 7M-GTE and a Red Mica 2.0L 1G-GTE Twin Turbo. Now the 7M is easy enough to find parts but my 1G is my baby and as rare as rocking horse poo!

I was hoping that you guys can share any tricks and tips on how to get the best out of my 1G.

Any here are a few pics and any advice/help would be appreciated...

awesome cars bro. BTW, i hate you because you have headlight squirters on a 89+. all joking aside, which car turns a better 1/4 mile, the 1g or the 7m

the 1g is a 2L and in a whale of a car

get some intercooler hardpipes & upgrade the cooler (it doesn't need to be big just efficient)
up the boost a wee bit
2.5" exhaust should be stacks for a 1g

that should be a good start for ya

Any chance we can get a shot of the two side by side, from front and rear for narrowbody vs widebody comparison? In the US we only got the widebody MA70s.

I love the yellow by the way!!!

Never run them over 1/4 mile but i can say that the 1g is quicker off the mark and handles like its glued to the road(In the dry anyway) but the 7m runs away with the top end speed.

Can you buy intercooler hardpipes and upgraded intercooler off the shelf in OZ because they are sure not easy to get hold of here!

This is the best i have at the moment...it pissing with rain out...again!

You got a good look down the narrow body in Red. This is an J spec import whereas the 7M is the uk spec.

if you can get a photo from the roof, thats the easiest way to show the difference.

but if it's pissin rain.. i wouldent recomend it.

I saw Charlies 7m at the meet but missed his 1G... I 'll be back there in SEPT for 5 months.

It was Millies 7M with the black leather interior. She crashed it a while back though...

PS:Millie crashed the 7m a while back. She was ok but the car was history.

Full intake (including IC and hardpipes) full exhaust, up the boost a tad, and the 1G should bring a smile to your face .
