So after the smoke problem went away now i have another. I was driving today and i got on it pretty good. Turbo was spooling at 17 psi and then i heard a loud noise... then no boost. i am running a powerfc with the boost controller kit. took off the air filter and tubine spins freely.

any thoughts?

i am thinking it could be the boost controller solenoid. I can't even hear the turbo spool when driving.

no smoke, no hesitation, no sputtering, no other problems, NO BOOST.

no on a single to4r turbo

Oh, Ok....does sound like a coupler came off. The loud noise was the coupler probably popping off and the lack of boost is good sign of a boost leak.

I guarantee you popped one of your couplers off. I've done that SO many times, haha. Physically wiggle all of them around. It may be off, but resting beside teh pipe so it looks ok.

I would also suggest getting t-bolt clamps. You can really torque them down and don't have to worry as much about popping one off.

That is what got me... it was resting beside it with the clamp still tight around the coupling. I feel dumb. I thought i checked them all pretty good. The couplings were the first thing i thought of. Sorry for the dumb thread this is my first turbo car. I came from having stupid little hondas.

i took the clamp off and it just seems like it was on there pretty good. i replaced it with a new hose clamp that i just so happend to have laying around. I will see about the t bolt clamps tomorrow.

thanks
