i have a 91 and i was swapping out my driver seat and found that one connector did not fit.
What to do?
swap my old motor to the new seats or is there a better way?

what years have different connectors?

I had the same problem when I put some 87 seats into my 91. I just cut the original 91 seat connectors off my original seats and soldered them onto the 87 seat harness. Not too hard, seeing as the colors mostly matched up.

Is it just the plastic part of the connector that's different?

If so just depin it and swap one end and you're good.

how do you depin it?
is that better than cutting the wires?

Depends on the connector, most have a little lock tab that can be pressed with a tiny jewllers screwdriver then you pull the wire and pin out of the connector and put it in the plug that fits. (needs to be the same type of pin to work)

Yes FAR better than cutting/soldering/crimping.
