When we first got the car several years ago, we got it before I even got my learners permit. It used to be a silver NA automatic. Few months after I got my permit at 15yrs old, I wrecked it on the passenger quarter panel and it smashed in roughly a little over a foot deep. Had to replace the rear subframe and then some body work to try to get it to look half decent. After I graduated high school my Dad and I decided to do a renovation project on the exterior, here are a few shots of the car partly through that...

Had to replace hood, targa top, quarter panel, and also threw on a wing off of a 1992 MKIII

After that work, only a few months later the 3rd 7M in that car had dropped a rod...we decided at that point to either replace the motor every year or pay upfront for a decent powerplant. That is when we started the 1JZ conversion..

Also for the conversion we had to change the front crossmember along with all the wiring needed and other things needed for the 5spd conversion.

Thats basically the short rundown of the car's on going project that we have had with it, since I haven't been here to post about it as it was going on I figured I would at least share a piece of the work we did after the fact....

Niether does he most of the time. Car turned out excellent. You and your dad turned out some fine work there! Since you already wrecked it you should be good to go!! I like the gunmetal rims and the 1jz! Thanks for saving that supra from the parts yard or the crusher!

Well I can tell you that's not mine, we don't have any videos of it, we just got tired of replacing 7M's and it was an NA.

It's cool. Honestly the thing blowing up for the 3rd time was the best thing ever. Finally got the car turbo'd with a 1JZ not to mention. This has been my first turbo car and being surrounded by a bunch of friends with MKIII turbos, this was a dream come true.

yes I know how u feel when you have an NA, and everyone else has turbos, good thing about NAs, is the interior seems to be almost always in better shape than in turbo cars.

Lol...sometimes, that was another thing we had to do but we did that before all the other complications. The leather was all cracked and torn, so we had to get that redone within a year of buying the car.

Very nice, the car has come along way. The black with thegunmetal wheels looks soooo good, car just needs to be a little bit lower now ;)
