diagnose 1jz ECU

is there a way to diagnose if you have a jacked up 1jz ECU? i mean, other than getting a known good ECU and plugging it in to see if your problem goes away? im having a lot of the same issues as other people who have had messed up ECU's have had. id like to know for sure before i buy one lol

Smell the ecu. If it smells like burnt electronics something is probably fried. Take the screws out and follow the circuits, front and back, and check for burnt circuits.

yep i checked it today. there's two capacitors leaking shit onto my circuit board. you can see where its burnt. thanks for the help guys
