I have access to the following motors and want to get an idea of what the Supra community is looking for. Each motor is compression and/or leak down tested. Based on my research, it seems that 1J's (engine only) are going for $900+. With tranny, about $1300+. 2J's with auto tranny seem to be going for $2500. These prices are not including shipping charges.

Demand:

1JZ's Soarer - Engine only with ECU and wiring harness
1JZ's Soarer - Complete with auto transmission
2JZ's Soarer - Complete with ECU, harness, auto transmission

If you guys have a couple minutes to spare, please provide me your feedback on the level of demand for each one and the market price today.

Mods, if this is posted in the wrong section, please move it to the correct one. Thanks in advance for your help!

Most people would rather have a Supra 1jz instead of a soarer 1jz. There are only a handful of us MKIII guys with the soarer 1jz in their car. The wiring and motor mount brackets are different. But, I'd say the first one.

BTW, are you trying to sell these to Supramania? If so, it's not allowed until you have 50+post or 12 months membership. Also, you have to have the engine in hand. Not just a source.

You can get the 2J's around $1800 now from JHOT. $2500 seems high and they are Aristo, not Soarer motors. Not sure if that was a typo.

with something as big as an engine, i'd be wary of buying from anywhere without knowing their history. even if they are compression/leakdown tested it'd be nice to have testimonials and pics/vids.

with that said, id love a 1j for 1300 if it had a warranty, 5speed and came with the electronics.

I paid a lot for my JZA70 clip from Jarco. With the $$ I spent I could have a 2JZ. The nice thing though about 1Jz is there are tons of it for sale as engine set. So if you ever break your 1J you can just buy another set for like $800-900 and swap it in and you are up and running again.

I did mean Aristo, thanks for the clarification.

I appreciate everyone's input so far. I am currently living overseas and i am handpicking these motors myself. I have all the logistics ready and people back home in the states who will assist me.

I can get some great prices on these motors but wanted to see what type of demand was out there for them. Unfortunately the supra 1jz's are hard to come by over here.

If anyone else has some input, please let me know.
