yo, i've noticed some mkiii's with these dark turn signals instead of clear ones or stock amber ones. Were could i get a pair those? I have a white pearl 87 supra turbo and i was debating with myself on which ones i should get. Either the dark ones if they do exist or the clear ones. Thanks

like those. Goto any hobby store get some testors Model Tint spray, comes in little 3oz cans. Need 3 of them, Goto autozone get some duplicolor clear engine enamel. The stock lights theres no need to sand just prep w/ soapy water make sure to rinsse and dry compltely. Spray tint on in even coats allowing to fully dry between each coat to achieve true darkness. Continue to apply until darkness achieved. Go over each piece with the clear enamel spray paint until shiny and smooth. Wet sand and spray clear again until smooth.

Let it fully dry for a few hrs and install, step back take pictures and watch as the tint never fades from washing dirt etc.

edit:
My front lights are fully blacked out (Light still shines through) side markers are tinted to almost black, rear tail lights are a dark blood redish almost black color. Did all my lights minus the headlights and fog's. The pictures your seeing are pre clear coat enamel, i havent taken any with the clear coat on them their a shitload shinier. Ill snap some pics once the supra comes back from paint.

nice thread... not sure why i didn't think of blacking out the supra lights... i just got through tinting the turn signals on my daily driver Focus ZX5 with some very good VHT NiteShade tint paint.

Damn so you don't buy them then.....sweet. I like those covers you put on your supra bro but it sounds like only the 89+ bumbers can have them. Thanks fellas, but now i could use your opinion. Should I make them dark or get the clear ones. I herd somewhere that the clear ones will look stock again but not for a while. I'm actually leaning toward the black ones. My car is a an 87 white pearl (new paint) turbo. The rear lights on my supra are from the 89+ and are darker cuz there from a japanese model so i don't think i need to darken those but i would like to see some daylight pictures of dark rear lights that you guys have.

I love that pic ND, what percent tint is that, 20? It's so dark. I usually don't like the chrome wheel look but you make it look great

My front corners were blacked out but they both have tiny cracks in the bottoms now from an accident so I bought new ones, my taillights show some age and aren't shiny at all anymore so I might as well darken and gloss those:icon_bigg

^ 5% tint all around woo woo. its hard to see around corners when making like a left hand turn at night.

For instance trying to see where the median is or isnt i usually end up taking the turns a bit wider then normal but it keeps the car bitchin cold and keeps the snoopers from looking in.

In the daylight w/ the sunshade up on the windshield you cannot see in at all. Shine a light in at night and you can see a bit but not much. I get the supra back tomorrow hopefully i can snap some night shots.

Haha that's awesome, I don't think I could go darker than 20%, just by fear of not seeing a low curb or my friends black lotus before I run it over:icon_conf

yeah it sucks when backing up on a dark street i usually have to roll the window down and peak out or just go slow. But theres lots of street lights here in my city so no biggy :)

Ive actually been thinking about offering a service for light tinting etc. but idk..

hopefully after my engine rebuild is done ill get myself a lip and whaletail :)

up here its
35% for any windows that roll down
20% for the back and rear windows on SUVs, and large cars(privacy glass)
Ill probably just go 20% all around and put my windows down when in the presence of cops for too long.
