This is the 2nd time.. damnit man.. First time getting ready to buy a 04/05 sti and find out the insurance is going to be an extra 100 more a month.... f that..

This time I'm getting ready to go car shopping for a z06, I stop in a local dealer to check out an 04 they have and test drive it to get the feel of the car.. it sucks.. uncomfortable seating position.. Not enough leg room and with the seat all the way back i cant recline it to a comfortable position, so I have to raise the seat height making the rear of my head only ~ 1" away from the roof on the rear... bah fucking a man..

oh well.. only 1 car left on my short list.... mkiv :/

Justin is a bit bigger than you and I Joe, so a vette is definately a no go. I ride in my brothers to softball games half the time, and I hate it. It's like being in a really fast go kart. I think a MKIV is going to be the answer Justin. Make sure it's either antracite or RSP............

I know what you mean about the 'vette, for a USA built vehicle, they sure seem to be made for kids.

The STI is freaking overpriced on insurance because of all the goons racing them and trying to claim race damage against their commuter insurance. You'll find the same problem with all the 'cheap' rally cars.

If you're bigger than average, you're probably better off custom building something from the ground up. Do the Shogun stunt - drop a v6 SHO engine into an 80's Ford Festiva body or some such. With some work you'll get better performance and handling than you can get on an STI, and you still get econo car insurance rates! This is why there is such a large performance market for the Honda Civic.

If i had the money this is what I would do. Its dirt cheap and amazingly fast and fun. I saw a few at the last autocross even I went too. Seriously look into it and price it. It is cheap....

Here is their price list for if you were to build one yourself buy buying all the parts.

Oh and insurance. Not a problem. Call Hagerty. The old guy at the track says it costs him $689 every six months with Hagerty. Worried about getting the thing registered. Not a problem. Just have all the receipts for the parts, present them to the DMV when you schedule and appointment and your ready to go. The guy at the track told me it took all of 10 mins to get the car registered.

108k really....
I am subscribed to Brammo and Ariel Atom and the one I priced with all the equipment to make it street legal and some extra's that I would want on a car and it came to 67k. Price gouging bastards.
