I tried to stop but can't I've been slowly weening myself off it. I used to consume like a 2 liter a day, now I'm down to 2 a week. I tried to go cold turkey but fuck that, I was able to take 2 days of pain, then went back on the caffeine

2 liters of soda a DAY?

DAMN.

it's the diet energy drinks that kill me.

1 a day.

yep, I started it when I got into higher up courses in college and was up until 2-3am, and had class at 8am, I would pull all nighters, and the only way I survived was coke. Its so hard to come down off the shit too, and I'm athleticly fucked right now.

I stopped drinking caffine.

It was seriously giving me anxiety attacks and making me depressed, I finally realized I was addicted.

I would rather be addicted to a drug with cooler effects than caffine.

I went cold turkey a few years back. Headache persisted for at least a week, then I was groggy for another 3 weeks... took nearly 9 months to get back to where I am awake in the morning without it.

It's worth it in the long run, though. Anything that makes your body start to think it can't live without it has to be bad. Except sex, of course. ;)

I did the exact same thing about 18 months ago. I'm so glad I did.

I stopped drinking coffee about a year ago because of a panic attack at work that was greatly aggitated by the 4-5 cups of coffee(heavy on the sugar) I had in the morning. Was taken out of work on a stretcher and stayed in a hospital bed for about 6 hours until my heartrate finally came down. I quit the next day.

The smell of coffee makes me sick. I can tolerate some blended coffee drinks every now and then... but straight up espresso or coffee? no fucking way.
