Custom Manufacturing

ive googled my ass off and get a bunch of stuff that does not APPEAR to be what im looking for. Granted im completely new to this stuff i might just be looking wrong. Anyways, i want to know if there is a great (cheap / easy) way to custom order 3d plastics, for example, if i wanted to order a box made out of acrylic to be a specific dimensions, and to have other features in it too (for example like a shelf inside, and specific holes etc.
Also, same question regarding foam. Like the stiff foam that comes in some computer packages etc, not styrofoam,but the soft and stiff stuff.

I wanted to have it molded to fit inside the box with specific holes missing and stuff.

The only way I would know to do anything like that is to make a 3D Drawing of the object, and then have it printed on a 3D printer, but a company that will do that for you, I have never heard of one.

i have a buddy that used to work at an acrylic shop where they did some custom work. ill try and get in touch with tomorrow and find out about it.

cheap way to do it? Absolutely not. Easy? if you know CAD then sorta

I actually work for an acrylic shop, but we only do 2dimensional stuff, and i dont want to cut sides then glue them together.
Its going to be used as a household item and it has to look perfect with nice edges.

they do 3d printing of your design so you can have a prototype. I have no idea what the cost is. Plus they are creating a prototype not used as a finished item. I don’t know how long a 3D Printed item would last if it’s actually being used.
