Custom heater blower switch

I would like to remove my heater control panel (the thing that controls the HVAC system position, blower speed, etc.) but I can't make sense of the harness. I would ideally like to have a multistage switch that I hook up the ground and it simply connects different pins to control the blower speed (I don't have any of the other things hooked up except the blower anyway).

The problem is I can't figure out how the blower is actually powered. I can easily switch what MODE the blower is in (hi, mid, low, off) but I can't get it to turn on. What do I have to connect to get the blower to actually turn on?

Thanks!

thank you for the picture; the problem is that i dont understand any of it!

im used to using the factory service manual that shows pin numbers and what not. i was able to connect the ground pin to the appropriate blower speed pin, but dont know what i need to connect to get the blower to actually blow.

in my case, i only need to be able to turn the blower on or off so im not concerned with the other functionality that the panel has. any help understanding that diagram is greatly appreciated!

strange, either im missing a pull out or the 1988 manual is different. either way i still have trouble connecting the diagrams to pin numbers on the harnesses.

thank you for the help; i will try it out asap!
