I have a friend that makes statues out of fiberglass. He does allot of custom work for theme parties. I have seen him replicate the front end of a car for a party. I am wondering if I should approach him to replicate some supra parts. What do you guys think? I do know once he makes a mold its fairly easy to reproduce a quantity of them? So if you could pick something what would it be? Also what would a reasonable price be for that item.

He is a nice guy and I am sure he would be interested in doing some parts for some extra cash..

a pre 89 front lip that isnt fking 300$ hahah

150$ would be cool

Making parts that cheap and getting quality is pretty much a NO.. What is up with some of you guys and wanting everything for nothing. :nono:

300 bucks is a good price and if you knew how much work goes in to making these parts, then you wouldn't make such a comment.

:werd: Plus one thing to think about, how much experience does he have making light weight structural parts? Decorations for parties and functional car parts are two vastly different worlds.

Don't get me started on poorly made FG parts, most after market FG parts are shit, this is because the people/companies making these parts don't use the materials properly to make them (most don't even use the proper materials). Duane is right, properly done will not be cheaply done. Just the cost in proper materials alone is not cheap, so this is not about "mark up" cost.

Yes I am with you there. I did not want to see if he could make cheap parts. I just want to know if he can make quality parts. Im shure he will tell me if he has the skill to do parts for cars. I know the party stuff does not have to have the quality the car parts would have.

I will give him a call and ask. Cant hurt to ask. Dont think that I am trying to make parts that will sell for 50.00 ea. He would go for a quality part, not a cheap one.

Everything for nothing? noooo.... I just want something, I don't care too much what it costs. But no one will make me a custom hood or a front bumper... hint hint :)

Finding people to just make custom stuff at all and get the project completed in a reasonable amount of time is hard enough, nevermind the costs.
