It is underneath it, its screwed into the hinge i think. So to use it you have to open the center console there it is. By the way it only came on 89+ cars.

You can get away without getting a new console lid , you need the '89+ cup holder, hinge, and front clip (that screws onto the lid). There'll be a slight gap with the old lid, but it'll still close with the newer clip.

I'm never in morning traffic, anytime I am I see people reading the newspaper in stop and go traffic!

people are crazy and need to get tickets for this crap...

true true...

I've seen some crazy shit that just makes me shake my head, that's why I did the side-marker re-wire job earlier today, cause dumb-asses always seem to want to switch lanes when I do...

I was thinking of integrating one of the later model GM cupholders in somewhere, that have the nice rubber flanges that adapt to all sizes. But since I'm putting in all new leather and suede, I decided drinks are off limits in my car :)

I think that should be the FIRST mod anyone does to their supra, if someone is beside you they can't see your blinker without this mod!!!

I just use the coin box in front of the armrest. My change goes into the ashtray.

The shitty thing is that if your car has airbags too (90+ iirc) that flip box is only like 1in deep. Trusting it to hold a drink is risky business.
I normally use the cup holder for stroring drinks for later, not storing them between sips. Like if I am taking home a fountain drink, it has to be secured somewhere...
