i just received the twins today, i found oil on the compressor housing fins. im guessing thats a bad thing. idk how the compressor fins would get oil on them, the only way it would is from the valve covers. how can i check if the turbos are blown, because if i bought a set that are blown that would suck so bad.

The Vent from the Vavle covers for Oil Vapors goes right to the intake tube for the turbos so it is quite posible to get oil on the compressor wheel.

You can do the basic checks on the turbo spinning the shaft to make sure it moves easily and freely, pushing in and out to make sure it is not moving far or moving very little at all and same with Side to side :) Basically it should barley move the shaft should not be able to wiggle around much at all.

Other then that i am not sure how you could tell if the seals in side are bad. I found out for mine the hard way by putting them on and realizing that they are burning oil (common issue with the CT12A's )

Not to worry, they will be oily.

Remember, the crankcase vents straight into the turbo intake.

If nothing else, get a new set of crush washers for the oil feed, but that is it. They are ready to use.

I can't wait til the CT26 option becomes available. Once and for all the people that are happy with stock power levels can have something reliable.. like this guy.

driftmotion already has the kit available, it comes with most of the lines needed for the swap, check out their thread. it was like 400 dollars or something.

The kit is available now. I am running it on my car with the ct26 57trim and it is a very nice setup. The Kit is well designed and the car drives great with it!! I highly recommend it!!

Yup, it's a great replacement for the twins for reliability. Also if the lines are made long enough, you won't have to buy double when you upgrade to a performance single and manifold in the future.
