As per our conversation on the phone....

IF YOU GO CHEAP YOU'RE GOING HOME.

Toyota NEVER RELEASED a dynamic seal GENUINE rebuild kit for the ct26.

Also, 99% of all dynamic rebuild kits have the wrong thrust stack in them.

AND try and do it yourself, i dont think you would be satisfied and unless you know how to take it apart, and put it back together and balance it and stuff...
i was gonna get a upgraded ct...then woke up one night and said F that, im gonna go for broke, and bought more of a real turbo.

And MDC...my turbo should be there by the 26th

I took my CT apart like a goon. Nothing wrong with it, it only had 40k on it but curiosity just got the better of me. I marked it & everything but after a month it started squealing & then 3 months later it started smoking. Shops wanted like $350 just to balance it. I drove it for a year & a half like that (I stopped being embarrassed after a couple months) and when it finally let go, it looked like a space shuttle launch! Save your money and buy an upgraded CT from a reputible place.
Or you could get some dark tint w/ the e-bay kit- that would take some embarrassment away.

Two differenty types of balancing.

-Static balance usually done with a hines style balancer. Typically costs $45 or so

-VSR balance. Done with machines that cost up to millions of dollars. This balance is done witht the turbo assembled. It can cost up to $150 an hour, min one hour.

It would have been nice to have a shop tell me that. I only found 2 diesel shops & 1 racing shop locally that would even touch it. I gave up the search after that and just upgraded everything.

Why not use MDC? You know his is going to work. You know he'll stand by his product. You know he doesnt charge alot.

MDC/driftmotion FTW.

i would really like for him to do the work but i dont have the money to send it off to him and pay him to do the work. the local shop i am sending it to will just charge me for the balancing also they have been doing turbo work for like 15 years. i have took apart a lot of turbos and put them back together just to get aquanted with them and yes they have been worn out turbos. worn out to the point that they wont have any bearings left in them. im not saying i know everything that i need to know about rebuilding them but i do know some
