CT-26 Question

Hi I'm kind of a newb towards Supra's, I just bought one the other day. One thing that always bothered me was what does the CT-26 stand for? I think someone told me its a .40 trim, why does it have a 26 for the name then?

Probably random choice by Toyota - but could be "compound turbine" 26---

i'm sure someone can make a more complete answer but I'll do the best of my knowledge.

Its toyotas Numbering Scheme for their turbos. the MR2 uses the CT20(22) ours the CT-26. used in production. Same as how Mitsubishi Has the 14 16 and 20 (w/ coresponding numbers denoting Size)

The Garrett Stock replacement for the ct26 is indeed a 43 trim. Im not sure what CT26 stands for.

Crappy Turbo 26, LOL just kidding actually one of the better stock turbo's I have seen out on the streets.

The old GMC cyclones came with tdo6-18g's IIRC.

every time i got to a import meet i feel lucky that i have a big turbo be happy guys that we have the trim opts and one of the largest stock turbos to date
