ct-26 question

alright my friend just got his 3sgte clip for his celica... and he had an upgraded ecu which was nice.. so i was just curious if this looked like an upgraded turbo.... they use the same ct-26 so i thought u guys would be the best to ask

They are different.

they are different turbos. that looks to be about the same as my friends mr2 stock turbo.

they are not diffrent there the same all u got to do is rotate the housing to fit them in either the supra or the celica but the supra turbo are just a lil bit bigger on the intake side so alot of alltrac celica use the supra turbo as stage 3 setup to get better top end but that turbo look like its been rebuilt not upgraded a ct-26 i got both cars and i tried it before and it does give the all trac more top end but not much

oh the later alltrac from 90 to 92 and the mr2 turbo had twin entry because the single entry like the one on the supra allways had cracking porblem on the exhaust thats why toyota change the desing on the exhaust side but the most powerful 3sgte would be the 3rd gen and they only avaible in japan and they put out 240hp for a 2.0 4 banger but the first gen 3sgte came only in the 88-89 st165 alltrac and they only had 190hp and the 2nd gen was the 90-92 st-185 all trac they put out 200hp due to higher compression but the and the st205 never made it to the states but all other country got it but there nice look it up and you'll see how nice they look i hope this help out some way hehe

oh the st 205 was the one with 240hp awd and all the 3rd gen 3sgte never made it over here to the state but they do import them now

this clip is a st185... i believe the st st165 had those water cooled intercoolers...

its a ct-26 thats what it said on the side of it... ill have to find a pic of the turbo assembly on the celica..

so its not upgraded? just looks rebuilt? it was imported from STI

they had a different beast of a turbo as well. ct20b was the turbo i think.

yes cryo they are suppose to be very effcient turbos.. unlike the ct-26 the ct20b will hold boost all the way to redline

looks new/rebuilt. but i dont know if its upgraded. i dont see any marks where they would have bored out the compressor housing to fit a bigger than stock compressor wheel.

the ct-20 only came in the later 3rd gen 3sgte thats how they put out 240hp and plus diffrent head design and better cam lift
