I'm installing 2.5" ic hard pipes this weekend. What size is the outlet on the turbo and will I need a reducer to hook up the 2.5" lower ic pipe to it?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.
Dark006 said:I just got done installing some 2.5" IC hardpipes. I had some trouble fitting the pipe off the turbo because the compressor housing is arranged in a way that my pipe is hitting the oil filter housing. I have the 2-2.5" reducer off the turbo and the pipe does fit, its just not very straight and its putting a lot of stress on the reducer. Let me know how your install goes and if you have any questions ask away its all fresh in my mind. PM about it if you have time!

As for stress on the reducer I was already wondering about that but I think I have enough bends that when I assemble the lower pipe that the reducer should be pretty straight.
I'll try and post up some picks next weekend or so with some before and afters.
Dark006 said:I dont think the number of bends is really going to matter though. At least in my case.......it was just the fact that no matter the size (length) of the pipe coming out of the reducer; it was going to be rubbing on that circular part of the housing. If only the compressor housing was turned in a little more to the fender wall. I always read about the lower IC pipe being two 45deg bends, but never really saw anybody else's setup or solution to the problem I'm running into.
lol I do hope it works out for you though! Definitely get some pictures up!
