Well since everyone popular is havign one, i do not see why i shoulnt have one . Anyway here are some picsof what il be up to the next coupel of weeks. I just got a good deal on a motor with a bit of surface rust on the block from 17 years of driving (meh no biggie, nothing major). It came with a turbo that is hella tight and was rebuilt. i tested it on my car and it spools and works magnificintely (sellign it for 200+shipping with the lines and everythign that is needed for those wondering ). This motor ran great when it was pulled ( test drove it), but the owner said it was starting to show signs of a BHG. So since it doesnt knock, i pretty much ended up gettign a motor+turbo for 400. and since im sellign the turbo maybe tomorrow, 200 bucks for this motor isnt bad at all. So i am gonna start by changin all of the engine gaskets with brand new ones from toyota and MAYBE a MHG. Arp studs are gonan be comign but i have a question. how exactly do i check for worn rod bearings? is it difficult to do? This is gonan be my first rebuild so im gonan take soem tiem and double check everythign to make sure it works perectly. This motor shoudl be my reliable motor and as for the one i have in now, well it will be rebuilt next winter with a MHG for sure and more goodies. But for now pics of it as it sits. Oh and i took off the fenders for some repair. nothign too major but thats how i drive my supra right now
