^^^ Had these rims laying around off my '04 Solara... so I tossed them on for an "experiment". Wearing BS Potenza RE960AS PP's in a 235/50/17... intended for the 'lara... after the experiment!:biglaugh:

I kinda like the STOCK TOYOTA rims... little "T-BULL" centers and all!

Yeah... I know what you mean! I've had the thing for over a dozen years now... and it came "set up" with the full HKS TEMS suspension "system"... so the "mild" 1 1/4" drop has been "IT" up until now. (The suspension works so well... I hate to mess it up!)

Hopefully, eventual rim/rubber combo will help my cause... don't think I'll be "slamming" this thing for awhile.

Very clean car! Like those wheels too!

Whats up with the huge antennas though? lol

Center rear antenna is for my CB hookup. (Used to do ALOT of highway interstate travel with this car... and I liked to "keep informed"...) The right/front corner antenna is for a Beartracker Scanner unit that picks up HP "REPEATER" unit signals when an officer "keyes his mic"... gives me a 3 mile radius or more "ALERT" when active HP are in the vacinity. VERY USEFUL in Ohio highway driving! Also monitors all HP and Police frequencies, which are pre-programmed for all states. NICE TOOL when used with the Valentine One!:biglaugh:

They've both been on the car for 10 years or so... and this car SAT under an OAK TREE collecting tree sap, birdie doo doo, and DUST for the past 5 years... 'till I JOINED THIS SITE and solved a NAGGING electrical issue on my first day of posting!:icon_bigg

Thanks for the comments, all...

Well... I was planning this all along... but I like the 'lara rims on the soop so well, now I'm not sure.

What do you guys think of the OZ NOVA's on the SUPRA? (They would wear more rubber, as they are 8" wide... a LITTLE better than the 7's!)

THESE:

ON THE SUPRA: (instead of the 'lara rims... which I like SO well! If only they were WIDER!)

I would stick with the 5 spoke's, add some spacers and a mild drop. It would be a waaaaay better updated oem look. The mesh rims look like their offset will sink em' in more on the sup'.

I DO like the 5 spoke look very much! It is nice and clean and "subtle" looking... well in keeping with my "SLEEPER" look!:biglaugh:

The OZ Nova's are 40 offset, the SAME as the 'lara 5-spoke. (Supra is 37?) I used 8mm spacers w/the 5-spoke, partly because they were only 7" wide. (Sawblades were 7.5?) The OZ's are 8" wide w/40 offset, so even without the shims, I think they would imporove the stance spread a little, AND the spokes are on a "taper" out to the center hub... make them look like they are "wider" when seen from narrow angles on the car. They look VERY good in person on the 'lara... even better than the pictures.

I agree about the oem look with the 5-spoke rims though... and that is very much in keeping with my theme. Thanks for the input.
