Another big friend with a big wrench holding one of the bolts on the flywheel perhaps? That's about the only idea I have right now...

i hope this works, dunno if it will.

i made one of these out of some pipe fittings from Home Depot for about $5. it fits on the pully as shown and is bolted to the pully via the 4 bolts holes in the pully. you stick your 19mm socket and extention down the center and use a pipe wrench to keep the pully from turning. i braced the pipe wrench on the floor so i wouldnt have to hold it. worked great for taking it off and putting it on. tryed to explain this in another thread but no one understood me and didnt knowhow to post pics. so here it is. and oh yeah, patent pending :icon_bigg

Pretty decent contraption there!

I just pull off the oilpan and use a chunk of 2x4 to brace the crank against the block.

i do the same, but with 2 pieces of wood. one on # 5 or 6 and one on #1 or 2 (so its balanced) and use a long jack handle for extra torque and it comes right off.......
