The crankshaft pulley is not on there that tight.
I used the bolt that holds the pully in place and a standard 2 jaw puller.
It poped right off.

Mine took 3 days to pull.. with the bolt on type puller I pulled the threads from the pulley itself. I had to use the puller with the jaws.. not fun :(

Sad.....but fotunately 9 outa 10 pulleys come off using a couple of large screwdrivers to get it started. I've done about 50 supras and 20R & 22R (Celica and trucks) motors that way.

I actually only had to use a puller once.

yeah i used screwdrivers to pull the crankshaft pulley off of my old 240, but i figured since i actually have the puller laying around I may as well make use of it

I used large screwdriver and shop towel. Put the rag over the screwdriver got under car and carefully tapped on pulley while rotating after every few taps. Worked like a charm no damage to pulley.
