sooo, had a spare 7mge i wanted to rip apart to see if the crank is still good.

pull the trans off, pull the head, flip it over and pull the oil pan.
i was wondering why the damn thing was still so heavy. the PO had a ghetto "trd" hood and no valve covers on, so water seeped down over time.

theres a good chance that crank is buggered. I pulled a crank from an engine with only ~1" of ice in the corner of the pan and that crank needs a 10/10 grind to be usable.

well i took a rod end off to see what the rod journals looked like, the one i took off looks like the top one in that pic.
i didnt take the rest of them off because when i went to take the crank pulley off it spun, aaaand the dampener keyway is buggered,
oh well off to the machine shop white a diff crank.
