I'm needing the specs on the portion of the crankshaft that stick through the lower timing cover and the crank pulley slides onto. I) believe this is called the snout. What is this diameter. I have looked through the TSRM and have found nothing on this. Does anyone know off the top of their head, or know where to find this diameter? I have searched the forums but can find no actual numbers.
My pulley may have damaged the end of my crank, and I'm trying to get a reference to see if any material has been removed and validate whether or not my crank is still usable.
Thanks

I don't think what he wants is listed there. I just measured my good crank snout, and it measures 35.00 mm.

Yeah this is what i was looking for. The previous post with the link does not spec this diameter.
Does anyone know what the tolerance on this is? I'm assuming that that 35.00 mm is nominal. I put a mic on it yesterday but I wasn't sure if i need to be within one or 2 thousands or if i need to go to tenths.

There isn't a spec for snout diameter; It's not a wear point.
I will tell you that I once had a pulley come loose and wobble till it screwed up the snout. Is this the damage you have?
It caused one side of the keyway's wall to become angled, and no longer vertical, allowing the woodruff key to tilt from vertical to an angle.
I had a friend weld in some material there with a simple MIG welder, then I used a die grinder to re-cut the wall vertical again. Worked fantastic, surprisingly.
