Crank, No Start

Crank no start 7MGTE. Recently swapped this motor in place of a NA, so, "new" to the car engine, harness, ECU. 89 Engine in a 89 chassis, so everything plugged in the way it was supposed to. Key on I have power to the injectors, but cranking, no pulse. Also while cranking, no spark. Swapped the ignitor, injector solenoid resistor, and ECU into my other working car and they all worked in that car. Ruled out bad coils because coils would not cause no injector pulse. Only item left, that I can think of, is the CPS -- I have not swapped that between the cars yet. The CPS on the failing car ohms out good at 177 ohms to each pickup (should be around 180). On cranking, I am seeing the resistance correctly breaking at the CPS harness on all three pickups. Am I missing an easy ground somewhere? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked for codes?>

If the ecu does not see engine rpm nothing is going to happen. Might try swapping cps.

It's alive! Some jackass who owned the motor prior to me installed a new connector on the harness for the CPS -- 3 of the 4 wires were mis-pinned. :X

It runs now, timing is set, but it runs pig rich! Will work on that now...thanks all!

If the primary is open, you will not get IGf.

And of course the car will not run without a pick up signal. Have you checked DTCs? I think you might see 12 or 14. This assumes all your hook ups from the swap are correct.

 nevermind.
