is the crank key just the slot on the pulley to hold it from turning?

It's the rectangular (approx. 1/4" x 1/4" x 1") piece of metal that fits in the slot on the crank and the slot on the dampner.
It keeps the dampner from spinning on the crank.

thats what I thought, it was still on the crank, i was looking for a part thought maybe i forgot it.
