Toyota told me the gear for the CPS is obselete. Is there any place else that still sells this gear? If not is there a place that will just sell me the pin. I'm going to buy the o-ring, cover and gasket from toyota but really need that pin and gear.

You cant reuse your old one?

Post on the wtb section and look in the for sale section and look for a junk one.

Nice, thanks for the replies. I like that kbox kit for $30. I'll just be extremely careful not to damage the gear in drilling out the pin.

So I got the kbox kit in today. I'm going to take the cps into a machine shop to get the pin removed. My one problem with the kit is that the shaft pin is completely hollow? I guess it only has to hold in the gear, has anyone used this pin before?

Yeah i looked up pictures of a roll pin, that's exactly what it is. and is very thin material. With a roll pin do you still hammer the edges out to hold it in place? Or is there another method.

id like to find new points and the wires coming from the CPS, but toyota dont seem to list them
driftmotion.com sells a CPS wiring clip if that's what you're looking for.

You generally dont stake a roll pin because it has outward pressure when you drive it in to hold it in place, no idea how well it would work in the CPS, though i cant imagine it being a problem
