cps o-ring

Hey there. I know that my o ring is leaking on my 7mgte cps. I was just wondering if I could use any o-ring lol or is there like a special kind. It's just that my Dad has a whole assortment of o rings he uses for random plumbing related things. He is a plumber. So is it a good idea to try one of his o-rings as a replacement? Or is it smarter to buy one from Toyota. Just trying to save myself a couple bucks here and there.

As its 2$ from toyota i would just get the correct one and be done with it. Thats just me tho.

Hmm ya. Plus $10 gas for me. That's just me though lol. I don't know enough about o rings but maybe there is a oil resistant type. Hmm maybe too technical of a question.

Can get it from any parts store as well...

I use Viton o-rings, they stand up much better to the heat/oil.

...got the O-ring from Toyota couple days ago, but after removing the CPS cover i realize its time for rebuilt(174,XXXmi) and the cover broke in pieces...
