if its really like 600AUD which i see is almost 400 bucks, i guess i'll eriously be considering a rebuild. any info on where exactly they have that electrical opening problem?

Mine leaked a bit, and that's rebuildable, but the wiring literally crumbled on mine all the way inside of it (idiot previous owner and not putting the front heatshield on the exhaust manifold).

it hasnt done it lately, but its got this problem that it wont start, and then you disturb the cps wires and it fires.
take the cover off and see if if the sensors inside are cracking from heat (mine where). If the wiring isn't too bad, you can just rewire that connector...
If I were you I would just rebuild it, I heard theres someone that rebuilds them for like 120 dlls (if I rememeber correctly).
The used CPS that I bought from a member was leaking internally worst than the one that was on my car. And it was suppose to be "in good conditons". lol.
