yes you need to break the clutch it, no boosting...

you can go above 3K (since shifting at 3K tends to drop you down too low so you'll be having to push the pedal more and build boost and torque), but keep it out of boost...

500 miles is minimum with mixed driving. Doing all highway is cheating and sicne the clutch isn't getting worked, you need to go more miles. I intentionally went out and hit traffic so I could work the clutch in...

When you put the shifter in gear, can you move the shifter around? Get the shifter seat and socket from marlincrawler and it will take the slop out. When installing the seat you'll have to rotate it in, and the cup is a major pain to get into the tranny (it's a tight fit and is supposed to be tight, it will go RIGHT in if you get it lined up right, don't force it).

Imho....White looks better.
And do what Poodles said on the clutch break in. Traffic is a great way to break it in. That's what I did. 500 miles in town. It took about a month though. I will admit, I did sneak in a little boost here and there.

a month? damn you don't drive enough LOL

a week at most for me...

also, watch your clutch pedal freeplay. As the clutch breaks in, you'll need to adjust the pedal as well...
