ok so I just bought these 17's from a mechanic at work, but they are a little small offset wise...but it was such a good deal that i couldn't pass it up (i.e. 200 bones for all four with brand new tires and tuner lugs included).

Anyways they don't sit out as far as I would like so I'm probably gonna get some wheel spacers, and also the tires are only 215\40\17. So I'm wondering what is the widest tire I can put on these rims comfortably, rims are 7.5" wide. And also what size wheel spacers will I need to fill out the fender and will I also new longer studs?

Do you know the offset of the wheels? A set of hubcentric spacers would make them sit out closer to where you want to be. I don't know if I would put 245's on a 7.5 inch wheel. With the offset you have they would probably rub. I have 225's on some Mk4 wheels and they rub slightly due to the higher front offset.

Yes, the hub centric spacers would be the way to go. I would guess that 20-25mm should put them out where they will look decent. As for the tire size. I'd stay with no larger than 235/40's. Spacers are gonna' set you back another $200.00+

That's pretty cheap for those rims. The computer I'm on right now has a problem showing pictures so I can't see them. Are they new rims or used (I'm guessing used). Did you have the rims balanced and checked to make sure they're not warped or any of cracked? Just asking this because the 18" enkeis that came on my supra when I bought it look like sh*t and one was cracked after a few drives (come to find out it had cracked before and someone attempted to weld it back up).

well I work at Tires Plus so yeah I balanced them and all that jazz, these rims are PERFECT which is why i just couldn't pass em up. I thought that hubcentric rings were just to match the wheel's bore to car's hub? I'll try to figure out the offset tonight, I was in a hurry putting them on so I didn't get a chance to look for all the specs on them.
