couple of problems

First I'll start with my powerband, and crazy vacuum.
-My powerband just.. gives up after 5k.. I'll keep same speed, but no increase after 5k
-I am vacuuming around 20(on aftermarket boost gauge) and of course reading a vacuum of 4 on the stock gauge. (the vacuum was there BEFORE i installed the aftermarket boost gauge)

Second, my dash lights do not come on with the lights on.. no gauge lights, radio, climate control.. nothing. But my door open, battery, check engine lights still come on.

any suggestions would be nice.

Oh, and before my dash problem.. best time i could get at the track was 16s.. but yet my 60ft was better than a stock Z28(missed 2nd on that run) and i hung with a GT(on the street) and walked at RX8(rolling start at 60ish)

you cant trust the vac reading on the stock gauge. its slow to react and as you know it does not read below -4, which should have given you a clue to begin with since its impossiple to have negative psi. my car is usually at like 17-20mm/hg at idle. so yours sounds normal.

for your dash lights i'd start by looking into the fuses.

"I'll keep same speed, but no increase after 5k" i'm not shure what you mean by this. no increase in engine speed?

Yeah defenitely sounds like your clutch bud. If you need any tips I just did mine this month.

yea.. when i downshift to 2nd, i have to double clutch(go to nuetral and rev, the go to 2nd) or it just wont go. and usually doesnt want to go to reverse.

^^that could just be the trans. try changing the fluid, might help it shift. but yeah if you nail it and you rev but dont speed up its your clutch.

yeah, takes me couple tries to get into reverse. if it won't shift to reverse, let off the clutch in neutral then try again; that works for me, at least :shrug:

does it just start revving freely but no power to wheels? or does your tach just sit there at 5 grand? also, what gears does it do this in?
