.....of getting my supra to ETOWN on the 11th. i have a possible BHG and a host of other issues to work out and now that i have a possible BHG i dont think theres anyway ill get the car ready to take it to the track for the meet.

im still gonna try and show up, either in my camry, my friends EVO or my moms mr2 :icon_cry: .

heres my itinerary to get this POS running:

1. i think the pressure plate i installed was defective, clutch is now slipping bad. will replace this week.

2. need new intercooler piping as mine are leaky and fit terribly, hit fuel cut prematurely. waiting on delivery.

3. need to have SS braid lines made up for my oil cooler setup.

4. possible BHG. may need to replace head gasket.

so, 1 2 and 3 i would have been able to finish in a month, wasnt worried about that. but now that i might have to pull the head off to replace the head gasket i am not sure if ill get the car ready by the 11th.

very dissapointed.

after a long night at some bar in fordham, that reply almost brought tears to my eyes.

thanks anthony. im gonna pick up a rad pressure testor thingy tomorrow and will try to rule out a BHG as best i can before i decide to take the head off. im not gonna run the motor until i can be sure 100% that i dont have a BHG, as this motor has just been rebuilt and i do not want to ruin the bottom end, if that were to happen i would end up selling this thing.

hopefully ill figure out why it started to over heat today, maybe i dont have a BHG (best case scenario...) will post back with updates.

hopefully ill figure it out tomorrow, that way i can still take the car down to tonys and have him do the exhaust and give you qwik some $$$ for that stock turbo.

Well did you use metal hg and torque down properly the head.

Well did you use metal hg and torque down properly the head.

even though i had it rebuilt i used a stock HG, i dont know why. stock HG with ARP bolts torqued down to 72ftlbs. i also checked the bolts again after about 700 miles. none of them loosend up at all.

im gonna take an oil sample and send it out today or tomorrow.
