could my afm be on it's way out?

drove in the rain yesterday for the first time in 2.5 years, this is the only time this has happened.
as i'm coming up to a light and i put it in neutral the rpm's go to 350-450 and the car sputters/sometimes dies, engine light comes on and then goes away in a second or two.
i was also thinking dashpot but this only happened when the humidity was high. drove it today and no problems (sunny) :icon_conf
what could this be?

mine has done that a few times. i cleaned the throttle plate and ran some cleaner through a vacume line. havent had a problem as of latley.

IF the check engine light came on, check the codes first.

there isn't any codes, thats why i'm stumped
my afm has a crack on the plastic piece, could humidity do that?

you checked the codes? just cause the light went off dosnt means there is no code. when the light goes on a code is stored most of the time.

make sure no connections are loose in your engine.

the rain could have gotten somewhere it shouldn't have been as well

yes checked for codes and nothing (constant flashing)
if i tap the gas it throws code51 once than dissapears
tps might be out of adjustment or bad I'll test it on monday
