I am josh. I am a big fan of cosworth escorts and have built a few here and there and found a car with pop up headlights here in kentucky and now i am in love with supra.

here is the car i dont know if i can get the pictures to work correctly

its a 5 speed non turbo 87. i want to keep it stock and get everything to work and drive it normally. just done a headgasket and it runs fine just have a vaccuume leak. has 277k miles on it and i plan to get it to 400k

Not going to swap i want to drive it daily as now it has a thermostat leak

the threads in the water neck [what hold the therostat] has stripped threads which caused a water leak, which caused it to get hot and blow the head gasket

now that i got the headgasket fixed i am trying to get it to stop leaking so i can drive it daily

I want to leave it non turbo and get it to run smooth as margarine before i take it to the road. only plans are to restore the car to factory condition.

You can remove the water neck and tap & helicoil it, or replace it. Only 2 nuts and 1 bolt hold it on.

There are probably a few for sale in the classifieds, or you can post a WTB ad in the appropriate section.

That is a good idea i hadnt thought of it like that now i get to use my tap and die set weee :biglaugh:
